ADMISSIONS PROCEDURE

All the seats, including NRI/Management quota, are allotted by merit through online counselling conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority ( kea.kar.nic.in ). Selection is based on the rank obtained in the National Eligiblity-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) conducted on an all India basis by the Central Board of Secondary Education.


ELIGIBILITY

INDIAN NATIONALS

  • Candidate should have passed 12th standard, should have obtained 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (taken together) and should have passed English as one of the subjects.
  • The candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission.

FOREIGN NATIONALS, NON-RESIDENT INDIANS AND PEOPLE OF INDIAN ORIGIN

  • The candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission
  • Candidate should have passed 12th standard (or equivalent) and should have obtained 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (taken together)
  • Should have passed English as one of the subjects.
  • 15% of the total admissions each year (23 seats)
  • Should have documents to prove their NRI/FOREIGN status (Eg. passport, work permit, school certificate, etc.)
  • Inward remittance certificate from the Reserve Bank of India.

Should have the eligibility certificate from the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science (RGUHS) to pursue medical education programmes in the state of Karnataka.

A candidate who fulfills the following criteria will be eligible for the postgraduate courses.

1. ACADEMIC ELIGIBILITY

  • Candidates who have obtained a “Qualified” score in the PG Entrance Test conducted by the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi.

2. OTHER ELIGIBILITY

  • He/she has studied and passed in the courses leading to the award of MBBS Degree in colleges recognised by Medical Council of India and affiliated to any University established by law in India.
  • He/she has completed ‘Compulsory Rotating Internship’ on or before 31st March of the admission year.

ADMISSIONS PROCEDURE

All the seats are allotted by merit through online counselling conducted by Directorate General of Health Services( www.mcc.nic.in ). Selection is based on the rank obtained in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for super specialty courses (NEET-SS) conducted on an all India basis by the National Board of Examination.


ELIGIBILITY

Candidates who are in possession of a recognised postgraduate medical degree (MD/MS/DNB) Provisional Pass Certificate or an equivalent recognised qualification or are likely to be in possession of one by 15th July of the year of admission.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE: Application for enrollment of Ph.D courses shall be invited bi-annually (twice a year) on dates to be notified by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) i.e. around the months of April-May and October-November every year. A candidate may apply for admission to Ph.D to the Registrar, RGUHS in the prescribed application form obtainable from the University following newspaper/website notification and on payment of the prescribed fee for application form. Scrutiny and selection of candidates will take place by the month in June and December every year. Selected candidates will be granted provisional registration, for the Ph.D course 1st session commencing from 1st August of same year and 2nd session commencing form 1st January of next year.

All applications received by the University on or before the stipulated time and date shall be placed before the Ph.D Registration Committee of the respective faculty. The Committee shall then examine the applications and after satisfying itself about the eligibility requirements, conduct an interview for the candidates. Every candidate shall make a presentation of his/her Ph.D protocol along with/without his/her Guide before the Ph.D Registration Committee. The committee shall then recommend the names of the selected candidates to the Vice-Chancellor for provisional registration within three months from the last date notified for the receipt of applications. Provisional registration shall be effective from the date mentioned as the last date for payment of prescribed fees in the concerned specialty for the selected candidates. Fees once paid shall not be refunded.
