According to dictionary definition Anaesthesia means condition of not feeling pain.
In fact, Anaesthesiology involves integration of the anatomical, pathophysiological, medical and surgical knowledge in totality to maintain normal physiology during the peri-operative period in addition to making the process pain free. The job of Anaesthesiologists encompasses the umbrella of care in the perioperative period.
We are a busy tertiary care hospital rendering various speciality and super speciality services to patients 24*7 on all 365 days. Annually about 15000 surgeries are performed of varied complexities. We have a dedicated care pathway for providing a hassle-free experience for all patients undergoing surgery. Pre-operative check-up takes place early so that all requirements for essential resources are anticipated and optimized prior to surgery. We offer an extensive scope of services by experienced and skilled faculty attending to all patients requiring Regional and General anaesthesia for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. We extend our care in the post anaesthesia care unit with hemodynamic monitoring and acute pain services. We also provide Pain clinic services to reduce pain, promote coping strategies, improve function and quality of life for both acute and chronic pain including palliative care.
We have a robust Post Graduate training program which is student centric imparting excellent knowledge, supervised skill training with emphasis on compassion and safe practice. We also prime them to keep abreast with scientific advances and to deal with professional challenges. We regularly conduct Simulation based training, Cadaveric Skills Workshop and CME inviting expert external Faculty.
