located in the Medical College Hospital ground floor, is a state- of- the- art clinical laboratory which operates efficiently 24*7 round the clock with an extensive test menu covering basic Clinical Chemistry Analytes, tumor markers and hormones. It is NABL accredited and provides quality laboratory services in accordance with applicable laboratory standards. The motto is to contribute to quality patient care by providing reliable and rapid results. Apart from participating in delivering patient services, Biochemistry department and laboratory promote research activities by providing suitable environment and needed support for special and novel investigations that may not be routine.
Department has a research laboratory with -80° C freezer and a -20° C freezer for the storage of fluid samples of research projects, which can be efficiently utilized by students, PG residents and faculty to pursue research activities. UG students and Post- graduates from other department also has been utilizing this facility for the smooth completion of their research projects.
Two well equipped demo-rooms with a capacity of 80 each. MBBS practical instructions, didactic lectures, interactive discussions are conducted. The mounted projector in demo rooms facilitates in smooth conductance of theory lectures for Dental, Physiotherapy and nursing students. Post- graduates from Physiology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Pathology, MDS, Endocrinology interactive lectures are conducted here. Demo rooms are also utilized for the training sessions for clinical laboratory technicians as part for their skill upgradation.

One seminar room is present wih a capacity to seat 80, is used for postgraduate, MBBS and nursing seminars.
Practical Laboratories UG & PG
A well maintained PG lab with occupancy of 6 and UG practical lab with a capacity of 80, with all the facilities and equipment to aid in the proper practical orientation and guidance in the subject of Biochemistry. Centrifuge, electronic balance, Colorimeter, semi-autoanalyser, pHmeter, spectrophotometer are the equipment in the laboratory which caters to both academics and research activities.
