About Us
The Critical Care Department at Ramaiah Medical College and Hospitals was formed in the year 2011 in collaboration with the emergency department.
It slowly evolved to the present state functioning independently under the name of MSRCARE. We have one of the biggest ICU in South India consisting of 83 bedded state of art multi-disciplinary center encompassing Medical Intensive Care unit, Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Isolation and High Dependency unit where Medical, Neurology, Oncology, Nephrology, Gastroenterology, Surgical and Trauma patients with complex and potentially life threatening conditions are managed 24*7.
Our Critical care team consists of specialized staff with high expertise trained in lifesaving procedures for continuous care of critically ill, injured and post-operative patients. Along with this, regular counselling sessions are conducted with patient relatives to update the patients’ health condition and to give psychological and social support.
Our goal is to provide exceptional quality and compassionate care to our patients. We believe in a holistic approach to health care that encompasses body, mind and spirit. We strive to meet each patients’ needs with skill, expertise and respect for dignity and privacy
Emphasis is on areas like nurses training, standardizing care through clinical pathways and identification of ethical and economic issues pertaining to critical care, managing the in-hospital environment, infection control and end of life care.
Highlights

Our critical care units are ably supported by diagnostic and imaging units (CT, MRI, Doppler).Consultants and surgeons representing all major disciplines including neurologists, neurosurgeons, cardiologists, hematologists are available to offer specialist technical advice to the unit.
The team with high expertise treats patients with most complex health needs with help of physiotherapists, nutritionist, pharmacist and social worker. Regular counseling sessions are conducted with patient relatives to update the patients health condition and to give psychological and social support

ICU team works with compassion empathy and commitment to give quality care to patients and support to the patents families.
