Forensic medicine is a branch of forensic science that helps in finding the results of evidence at a crime scene by applying medical facts to the situation. The course subjects help individuals become an expert in finding the cause and time of death as well as other details about the deceased

- Department has a dedicated block at the Central Museum which has more than 500 specimens of medico legal importance. Viz.. Weapons, wet specimens, photographs, models, bones, charts and X-rays.
- Separate Mortuary building with state of the art facilities viz.. 4 autopsy tables for conduction of medico-legal autopsies, students viewing gallery, viscera room, inquest room, mourner’s room and storage (16 cold storage units), embalming and hearse van facility.
- Toxicological garden.
