Training of Basic Surgical Skills
Training of Basic Surgical Skills for UG, PG and external candidates by annually conducted workshops. UG and PG Students are taught daily in the wards, OPD and operation theaters. Didactic lecture classes help them in theoretical background. UG and PG students get to observe, operate and assist surgical procedures. Basic and Advanced Laparoscopic procedures can be viewed in the OT seminar hall. Foreign and external candidates get to see and observe a vast variety of surgical diseases and there treatment procedures.
Innovative teaching modules
Innovative teaching modules at ALC for UG and PG like Nasogastric tube insertion, Foley catheter, Intercostal tube drainage on modules and on mannequins to improve and boost simple life saving skills and procedures. Procedures like Laparoscopic cholecystectomy a very common Laparoscopic procedure can be practiced on simulated training modules / endotrainers and or Laparoscopic virtual endotrainers with graded from simple to difficulty type procedures.
Cadaver Training Programmes
Cadaver Training Programmes and live workshops for surgeons along with in-house faculty and PG. This programmes help improve our skills and portray our Institutional academic activities.
Outreach programmes
General Health camps conducted every Sunday, Outreach hospital services at Leena Ramaiah Hospitals.
