We are now a full-fledged department of four consultants, nurses and technicians who are trained in many vascular and non vascular interventional procedures.
We are proud to say that our department has a state-of the art Cath lab. Our wide array of equipment enables us to perform a diverse range of interventional procedures which include: FNAC, ultrasound and CT guided biopsies and procedures under fluoroscopy guidance.
Message From The HoD
The interventional procedures were started at Ramaiah Teaching Hospital as a part of Radiology in 1993. Over the years it continued under radiology. In 2023, the interventional radiology department was created as a super speciality. Apart from doing procedures such as TACE, TARE, ablations, angioplasty and stenting, the department also takes active part in oncology and transplant programs.
