Nephrology at Ramaiah Hospitals was established in 1985 and is one of the country's most sought-after departments in patient care and DM training. The sheer volume of clinical work and hands-on exposure have consistently attracted postgraduate fellows from different parts of the country. The department is strongly supported by paediatric, interventional, and critical care nephrologists, who have carved a sub-specialty for themselves and are actively involved in patient care and academic work.
