Otorhinolaryngology is a surgical subspeciality in the field of medicine that deals with the surgical and medical management of of the disease involving ear, nose and throat. Otolaryngologists depend on a multidisciplinary group of experts to deliver complete and comprehensive patient care.
OPD
The department is equipped with full fledged opd unit which has equipment for ent examination including microsuction and heating element. opd has a minor ot which is fully equipped with stryker endoscopy suite for diagnostic nasal endoscopy and videolaryngoscopy. minor ot has an otomicroscope for minor otological procedures like aural suctioning, keratosis removal, aural biopsies, grommet insertions, chemical cautery, intratympanic injections etc.
Major OT
The department runs elective ots on three days a week and emergency ots 24/7. ot is equipped with an advanced zeiss microscope for otological procedures and laryngeal procedures. ot is equipped with karl storz endcoscopic suite for endoscopic nasal procedures such as septoplasty, fess, advanced fess, and anterior skull base procedures. it also has a well equipped microlaryngeal instruments for laryngeal surgeries.
OPD Audiology And Speech Therapy Services
The department has highly trained and experienced audiologists and speech therapist. ent opd is equipped with a sound proof room for pure tone audiometry, impedance audiometry and other audiological assessments like speech audiometry. facilities for speech therapy and swallowing therapy is available.

- Septoplasty, rhinoplasty, endoscopic surgery (fess, dcr, csf leak closure, optic/orbital decompression), facioplastic surgery, anterior and lateral skull base surgeries.
- All otological procedures such as tympanoplasty, tympanomastoidectomy, stapedotomy, ossiculoplasty, petrosectomy.
- Micro laryngeal surgeries, therapy for voice disorders and speech rehabilitation, broncho-esophagoscopy, videolaryngoscopy
- Treatment of benign conditions in the head and neck (thyroid and parotid) as well as various cancer surgeries involving oral cavity, thyroid, paranasal sinuses, ear, laryngeal and upper digestive tract.
- Skull base tumour surgeries such as glomus tumor, acoustic neuroma and schwannoma
- Surgeries for osa- uppp, pharyngoplasty, tongue base reduction- coblation assisted
- All ent emergencies
- Day care surgeries such as myringoplasty, tongue tie release, adenoidectomy, grommet insertion, tonsillectomy, surgeries for swallowing disorders (radio frequency), intra tympanic therapy etc.
