Facilities
Pathology refers to the study of disease in general, incorporating a wide range of??research in the field of medical practice.
It is the bridge between science and medicine. It underpins every aspect of patient care, from diagnostic testing and treatment advice to using cutting-edge genetic technologies and preventing disease.

Seminar Halls
The department has 3 seminar halls with sitting capacity of 75, 50and 25 which are equipped with LCD Projectors with computer systems having internet connectivity.

Practical Halls
The department has two practical halls with capacity of 100 and 50 each. The student terminals have individual binocular self-illuminated microscopes. The hall is also equipped with projection monitors as teaching aids. The practical hall is supported by facility for specimen mounting and slide preparation.

PG Research Laboratory
The department has a postgraduate research laboratory facility to promote research activities.

Audio visual Aids
The department has three specialized microscopic teaching aids for advanced learning

Integrated Museum
The Pathology department is supported by advanced integrated museum where rare and interesting specimens and mounted and displayed. The museum has developed a very meticulously maintained catalogues for easy understanding of integrated approach to the disease processes.

Blood Bank
The blood bank forms part of teaching training for UG and post graduates in Pathology. The blood bank is equipped with fully automated grouping and cross matching system, Chemiluminiscence for TTI disease screening, Apheresis systems and stem cell separation systems.
Departmental Library
Pathology department has well-maintained Library with more than 300 books and access for E-Journals and text books.
Haematology
The haematology section is supported by fully automated and advanced cell counters and automated coagulation analysers .The section supports diagnostic need of bone marrow transplantation unit of the hospital. The unit is also equipped with flow cytometer.
Clinical Pathology
The clinical Pathology is also supported by fully automated urine analysers with flow cytometry technology
Cytology
Conventional and guided FNACs with fluid cytology having cytocentrifuge facility.
Histopathology
The histopathology section is equipped with a state advanced grossing station, Digital photography, automated tissue processing and section cutting.
Central Research Laboratory
The Immunohistochemistry, Immunoflourescence , FISH and Cytogenetics forms the part of central research laboratory catering to all advanced diagnostic needs of the hospital
