We are proud to be the “Centre of Excellence” for Brachytherapy. Over the years the department has organized numerous national and state level conferences. The department also hosts budding national and international clinicians for observation as a part of exchange program. We have hosted many international delegates from countries like Israel, Egypt, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan for clinical training in brachytherapy. In January 2023 we successfully conducted world’s first hands on cadaveric brachytherapy workshop for prostate cancer.

Radiation oncology department caters to different sections of the society equally and to tailor the plan of care for each patient multidisciplinary tumor board meetings are held on a regular basis involving medical, surgical oncologist, radiologist etc. The department also conducts follow up clinics, rehabilitation activities, screening clinics and cancer support groups for cancer patients.
