About Us
The Department is Functional since 2000 as Chest Medicine. Post-graduation programme was permitted from 2011 with 1 seat per year since then the department is housing faculties with MCI norms.
‘Currently 4 Post graduate students are admitted per year since 2020. Ramaiah Medical College is the first private medical college in Bangalore with practising latest Interventional Pulmonology procedures for MD – Respiratory Medicine.
Overseas Undergraduate Medical students are being posted on regular basis to undergo training in the department. Faculty is involved in Clinical research at national and multicentre (International) levels. We have over 65 international and national level presentations of faculty and students.

Pulmonology, the branch that deals with diseases of the respiratory tract (Lungs) is one of the vital specialities.
The department of Pulmonology is well equipped with Outpatient and Inpatient facilities to diagnose and treat respiratory related problems. Consultants are Academicians with vast experience in the field of Pulmonology.
