Dr. Ananth Ram is an alumnus of MIMS, Mandya (MBBS) and CMC, Vellore (MD Community Medicine) with rich exposure to research and epidemiology training. He has worked as a lead in implementation as well as monitoring and evaluation of various community-based intervention programs for lifestyle management and NCD prevention & control in Vellore, Shimla, Udaipur, and 4 districts in Karnataka. He is currently also engaged as a Program Specialist (Health systems) with Ramaiah International Centre for Public Health Innovations and is working on the community outreach programme for the institution and health system strengthening projects in Karnataka and Meghalaya. His areas of interest include community based NCD prevention and control by risk modification, capacity building of healthcare personnel, implementation science, qualitative research, social determinants of health and operations research.
