Academic: Joined as Lecturer of Anatomy at M S Ramaiah Medical College in the year 2007. Has experience in teaching UG and PG since 15 years. Posted as Anatomist to Ramaiah Advanced Learning Center to coordinate Cadaver management and preservation in 2011 till date. Visited the University of Ghent in 2013 to get exposed to Thiel embalming Technique to facilitate cadaveric workshops at M S Ramaiah Advanced Learning Center. Have been actively involved and established the modified Thiel embalming method at RALC. Has also overcome the drawbacks of Thiel embalming and developed an indigenous method of Embalming Technique unique to the institution. Authored 1st edition of Book titled “Surface and Radiological Anatomy with a Clinical Perspective” under JAYPEE Publishers in 2016 and 2nd edition of the same book in 2022. Have published 25 articles in various indexed and peer reviewed journals.

Have been a part of Medical Education Unit since 2010. Have been resource person for Revised Basic Medical education Technology workshop, Qualitative research, Innovative Teaching Learning Methods, Small Group learning methods, Reflective writing.

Have been organizing committee member in various workshops such As Model Making, Anatomy- Beyond the Horizon, Question paper setting, Basic MET, CISP, PBL, Teaching learning methods, Qualitative research, Abhinandana, Basics of Cytogenetics, SDL, TBL, Professional Identity, Blue printing etc to name a few.

I am interested in Traveling, Cooking, Baking and watching movies. Have travelled to various historical and recreational places in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Imphal, Rajasthan, New Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Orissa, Punjab, Kerala, and Jammu. Love to travel to places and have travelled to Ghent, Antwerp and Brussels in Belgium, Amsterdam and Rotterdam, Paris-France, Zurich- Switzerland, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Beijing, Shanghai, Hongkong, Tokyo, Hiroshima, Osaka.

  • 1-month Faculty Scholarship for training under the program of “ERASMUS MUNDUS” in 3D reconstruction using MIMICS Software at the University of Ghent, Belgium in 2015.
  • Received the Devaraj Urs Gold Medal for the best Oral paper presentation in Gross Anatomy in the 17th Karnataka Chapter of Anatomists State Conference in 2016.
Acheivements
