I started my career in nephrology at Govt. general hospital, Madras medical college, Chennai in 1999 and was trained under Prof. M.A.Muthusethupathi.

I have been working at M.S.Ramaiah Medical college since Dec 2001 in various capacities as a teaching faculty and consultant nephrologist. I have been actively involved in training undergraduate and post graduate students. I was instrumental in starting DM Nephrology programme and world class dialysis unit.

I have actively pursued academic work and have published articles in various national and international journals. My special fields of interest are Tropical nephrology, Pregnancy and Kidney diseases and Renal transplantation.

I have been involved in more than 500 renal transplantations, including 8 HIV positive patients.
