The Department of Anaesthesiology has been at the fore front of providing quality and evidence based care since its inception.
The prime focus is on achieving high standards of health care with preoperative check-up, safe conduct of anaesthesia as well as post anaesthesia care.

We are equipped with State of the Art operating rooms with highly advanced anaesthesia equipment and monitors to make the patient’s surgical stay comfortable and pain free.
Anaesthesia services are extended to all broad and clinical super-specialties ranging from simple to complex surgical procedures and minimally invasive Laparoscopic surgeries and endoscopic procedures. The Department was among the first to start a round the clock Labour Analgesia programme in 1997, which has now progressed to a full-fledged and much in demand service providing pain free labour to numerous happy and satisfied mothers .
The department consists in its armamentarium technologically advanced gadgets such as Video-Laryngoscopy, Fibre-Optic Bronchoscopes, Ultrasound Machine to perform Nerve Blocks, Vascular Access and Point of Care Ultrasound. Modern monitors and equipment for Invasive Monitoring and Infusion pumps for Accurate delivery of Anaesthetic and Lifesaving drugs are also available. For post-operative pain management, Patient Controlled Analgesia Pumps and Elastomeric pumps for controlled delivery of pain medications are available.
