CRITICAL CARE department at Ramaiah Medical College Hospital is a multi-disciplinary health care speciality which provides intensive care services to patients with life threatening illness and injuries.
Critical care is a highly specialized unit with specialized staff and lifesaving equipment's for continuous care of critically ill, injured and post operative patients.
The Critical care Unit at Ramaiah Medical College Hospital is 83 bedded state of art multi-disciplinary centre where Medical, Neurology, Oncology, Nephrology, Gastroenterology, Surgical and Trauma Patients are managed round the clock (24X7).
The Critical care encompasses Medical Intensive Care unit, Surgical Intensive Care Unit, Isolation, and High Dependency unit with ventilator support that delivers care to patients with complex and potentially life-threatening conditions.
Our critical care units are ably supported by diagnostic and imaging units (CT, MRI, Doppler). Consultants and surgeons representing all major disciplines including neurologists, neurosurgeons, cardiologists, haematologists are available to offer specialist technical advice to the unit.
The team with high expertise treats patients with most complex health needs with help of physiotherapists, nutritionist, pharmacist and social worker. Regular counseling sessions are conducted with patient relatives to update the patients’ health condition and to give psychological and social support.
