BACHELORS IN PHYSIOTHERAPY (BPT)

Bachelor of Physiotherapy

ELIGIBILITY

Minimum 50% in their 12th board exams with Physics, Maths, Biology and Chemistry as
compulsory subjects.
University Quota
There shall be an eligibility test for students seeking admission under University quota for
admission to the BPT course in the year. Details of the same will be provided at the University
website.

Government Quota

The admission process of students under the government quota as per the regulations of the
State Government.

DURATION

4.5 years including a 6-month compulsory rotating internship.

INTAKE

80 students a year.

INTERNSHIP

During the 6-month compulsory rotating internship, students spend time in the Paediatrics, OBG and Orthopaedics wards, General Medicine and General

Surgery wards as well as Neurology and Neurosurgery wards. Community posting is also mandatory during this time.

ELIGIBILITY

Merit-based selection, followed by an
interview.

For Indian Students:
Candidates who have passed B.Sc. (Physiotherapy) or Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree from
institutions where:
The mode of study is a full-time program.
The candidate should have completed the Bachelor of Physiotherapy Programme from a University recognized by UGC
In addition, the candidate should have secured a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in Bachelor of
Physiotherapy program.
The candidate should have completed six months of compulsory rotatory internship after Bachelor of
Physiotherapy examination.

For Foreign Students:
An equivalence certificate needs to be obtained from
the approved authority as per the University Statutes.

DURATION

2 years

INTAKE

30 students a year.

CURRICULUM

Classroom teaching, clinical postings along with workshops, journal reviews, case presentations and case discussions. Postings at Ramaiah along with opportunity for external postings.

Ph.D IN PHYSIOTHERAPY


The College of Physiotherapy also offers a Ph.d in Physiotherapy with a guide-student ratio of 1:3.
